I was there 10 years ago, but I believe a lot has changed since then. Where are the best restaurants, shopping, beaches, hotels, clubs, where is the safest place. Also, where is a fun place for kids to go? Anything else you like about El salvador please include, thanks.

The called zona rosa, keeps on being the centre of the city, there are all kinds of dining places and hot clubs, for example, Stanza and Bliss….

A mall opened a couple of years ago, it’s called Multiplaza, it has it all, it’s the best one so far… You can do great shopping, there are also great restaurants, asian, italian, greek… there are many hot clubs also….there is a theater and a playplace for kids… you have to go there!

The best beach, I think it’s Costa del Sol, it’s a white sanded beach and turquoised sea… it’s really beautiful…

Don’t just stay in the city, get your kids out to see some of the cultural sites that you can’t see in the States.

Go to some Mayan ruins; I’ve been to Joya de Ceren and San Andres, and I think there are others. Definitely go to the beach (I agree the Costa Del Sol is nice). Also, the towns of La Palma, Ilobasco, and Suchitoto are fun to bum around. For great pupusas, go to Oloculta.

Multiplaza and Metro Centro are nice, but please don’t let your kids come back to the US only knowing what El Salvador’s malls look like!
