What are some good relaxation cds that help with insomnia?

    I dont know anything medically. But i find Death Cab for Cutie - Plans to be calming. Norah Jones - Don’t Know Why.

    But i can only sleep if the room is really really dark and the music is played so i can only hear it

    Reading while in bed. Also leave off caffeine after 6 pm or sooner. A nice hot bath or shower. I have a cd that plays rainfall and distant thunder. Some have babbling brooks. It is great. Also you can spray your sheets with a lavender bed linen spray. Lavender has a relaxing effect.

    I like the baby lullaby’s. I like nature sounds but no birds, they keep me awake. There are some that just say relaxation CD’s on them. I like soft classical music. You can try melatonin to help you sleep. It is a natural herb you can get at most pharmacies or health food stores.

    Dear Levy,

    Relaxation CDs will help, but from my point of view, it really depends on your insomnia status now.

    1. If your insomnia is not that serious, you just find difficulties in falling asleep for 1-1.5 hours, you can just listen to any relaxation CDs. Romantic, gentle, light rhythms will help.

    2. If your insomnia is really bad for example, you hardly can sleep at night and wake up tired and frustrated the next day, or you feel listless and your mind is not clear to function through the day, then some therapy relaxation CDs work best. I have tried a sample of those unique and effective audios myself. The sound is really helpful to train your brain to fall asleep again. Check it out here:

    3. If you do not feel really comfortable to sleep with music or sounds around, no worries, the site offer you some videos. They teach you what to expect, what to behave, how to train your mood to live effectively during insomnia periods. The audios are awesome. Neat, clear, informative and helpful!!
