Anyone have a relaxation tape suggestion?
wearewhatyousay asked:
I’m looking for a relaxation tape, say with a person talking and soft music. Something to help me fall asleep. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which I should get? I’m looking for one that has a person with a relaxing, not annoying, voice and quality music, maybe like soft flute, piano, or harp playing.

I tend to listen to just music when falling asleep. I used to have a sleep CD with the beach and waves crashing down but the damn seagulls got so unbearably annoying I stopped using it. Now I listen to soothing music like Bob Marley, or Israel Kamakawiwo’ole (IZ). I’ll also throw in some soft Angels Airwaves and (+44), but i guess it all depends on your music taste.
Would you believe Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon CD helps me relax and sleep. I use it for meditation-I lay in bed, totally dark, wear a ‘midnite mask (soft black eye cover because of the street lights), headphones and meditate(visualizing I floating above my bed). After a song or two, I feel like the morphine going thru their veins. On the nights my brain wont shut off and every ghost and demon in my life wants to come out and play, I put in Queensryche’s Empire-by the 4th song, I’m out! Try them! Good luck.
I don’t have a personal recommendation, but you might try going on Amazon.com and do a search for relaxation and/or meditation. They often have samplers you can listen to.
